Nutcracker dolls have been spreading Christmas cheer since at least as far back as the 18th Century. However, most of the more recent versions have lacked a crucial feature – the ability to crack nuts! Simply place a nut in the chamber, then turn the head clockwise.

This handsome fellow, though, is the real deal. He’s as Christmassy as they come, with a colourful soldier outfit inspired by the classic design. And, unlike most of his cousins, he has a working corkscrew nut-cracking mechanism, so he’ll work hard at the Christmas table too.
